My husband loves them. They're are very comfortable for
hiking or strolling in the city but tend to catch sand and
small rocks at the beach. He did laugh when the tiny crabs
washed into his sandals and then scurried out when the next
wave washed over them. He's had Keens before so we knew to
order up half a size. The foot bed is identical for all
their shoes so if he was comfortable in one, he knew he
would be comfortable in the rest. He also likes the toe
protector.

I bought these for my 30 year old son to replace the 2 year
old Keen Newports he was still wearing. He wears down the
outsides of the soles (just like I do) so I inspected them
and realized it was time for new ones. He has metal rods in
his leg and ankle and has to be careful with footwear. Keen
are the only sandals he's found that do not hurt and that
offer enough support. He just loves his new Venice sandals
in black! They are a great looking and good quality shoe and
worth every penny!!!

I have diabetes and my wife got tired of me stubbing my toes
in the house. She bought these for me to wear in lieu of
slippers since they slip on but can be tightened quickly,
and protect my toes. I wear them all the time. Only problem:
tried them for a long walk without socks and one of my
little toes got rubbed raw around the nail. NOT a good thing
for a diabetic. I'll continue to wear them with socks, but
had hoped to use them instead of sandals when it finally
warms up in Seattle (if ever). My kids will also love a pair
of these and luckily they do offer everyone men, women and
kids.

Ordered Charcoal. In the picture it was a nice grayish shoe.
The shoe we received was a deep green. I thought the wrong
shoe was sent. Called and they said yes the charcoal is
green. Was not happy even the picture looked like a nice
deep gray not this green. Colors were not even close that it
would have been hard to tell in picture. Very different.
Ordered shoe in black. Fits like a glove. Shoe was different
color than in picture. Called thinking wrong shoe was
ordered. When I found out it was a picture and color issue
decided to order another color. Had ordered shoes for
vacation. Was now upset because when they say next day
service that does not include weekends. With all the
shipping options this was hard to believe. Once I was on the
line with a manager he worked out a great win/win. Shipped
shoes to vacation destination.

I wear these to work, play you name it. I find they fit into
every place I feel the need to go. They even made it a
wedding once (it was on the beach, but still). The most
comfortable shoe I've ever worn and this coming from a
diehard Doc Marten sandal guy. If you don't buy them you'll
never know. If you do buy them, you'll never give them up.
What are you doing still reading this.... buy them NOW! You
can buy me a drink later.

I wore my first pair every day of the summer and whenever I
wasn't at work for 2 1/2 years. I only replaced them because
the sole was wearing (though after what I put them through,
I'm not surprised). Soon after I bought them, I wore them
for an all-night walk-a-thon in support of cancer research.
I must have walked 20 miles; no blisters, no discomfort,
nothing bad at all! Not all Keens are equal, though- the
Tijuana's are difficult to put on and flat. These have good
arches, are easy to slip on and off, easy to adjust, and are
secure. I am looking forward to buy this for my kids too.

Don't want to scare anyone off, but this is my experience
with this particular shoe. While not too short, they are
very tight. My foot leans toward thinner and narrow. I did
follow the reviews and ordered a 1/2 size larger. If I moved
up another 1/2 size, they'd be too long. May not be broken
in yet. Color was something-Pearl, which isn't available
now. This color was more of a fawn/light taupe color, which
does go well with my casual cargo pants and khakis. Inside
the left shoe, there is a lining that has a ridge that goes
across the ball area of the foot over to the little toe
area. It began to dig into my foot terribly. Had to stop
wearing them for 2-3 days for the soreness to go away.
Bought mole skin to cover and seems to be working. Liked the
color too much to send them back...LOL!! But, also because
the footbed fits so well on the bottom of my foot except for
that ridge. The soles are majorly heavy duty...great for
rocky hikes, and a bit stiff when you want a light weight
shoe. OK...these shoes were made for the rugged outdoors.
Overall I like the open sandal, the great arch support, and
the light-colored neutral shade...I have plantars fascitis
and must be very careful. I am certain that these shoes will
not aggravate the plantar's fascitis. I'll keep wearing and
see how they break in. Meanwhile, have been wearing some
Merrell water shoes that I ordered from Online Shoes. They
are more light weight. Really like the convenience of
ordering online. I would recommend these shoes because they
may be variable in sizing and you'll just have to order and
see how they fit you. |
